Welcome to our Summer Staff

We are excited to welcome Jennifer & Samuel on for 8 weeks this summer. During this time, they will be helping out in their designated areas plus participating regularly in street ministry.
If you are in the building take the time to say hello to Jen and Sam, and thank them for all they are doing!

Jen-

Tell me about yourself:

Hi Philpott church! My name is Jen and I am from Northern BC. I am currently working on a Bachelor’s of Science majoring in Biology at the University of Victoria. I am taking a summer course in animal behavior and have been working on a project on squirrels so I am happy to discuss squirrel behaviour with you anytime. My classes have been online this past year, so I was able move to Hamilton this past September to be roommates with my older sister Annie, which has been a lot of fun!

What do you do in your spare time?

In my spare time I like to play the ukulele and make covid related parodies. I like to watch The Bachelor, and also any sort of home improvement shows. I also enjoy baking muffins and cupcakes and then eating said muffins and cupcakes!

Tell me your favourite thing about Philpott:

I really appreciated how warm and welcoming the congregation was when I started attending in the fall. I also appreciate all the ways that Philpott is involved in reaching out to the community and meeting the needs of people in the surrounding area.

Samuel-

Tell me about yourself:

Hello my name is Samuel, one of Philpott’s summer staff. I have been attending Philpott for sixteen years. I’m going into my last year in high school before I pursue post-secondary education.

What do you do in your spare time?

When I’m not occupied by school I enjoy reading, gardening and playing Lacrosse.

Tell me your favourite thing about Philpott:

My favourite thing about Philpott is the community around the church providing opportunities for different ministries.
