About River of HopeRiver of Hope, Inc. is a recognized 501(c)3 non-profit organization. It has been developed in order to make it easier to achieve the goals of the Duroville Stabilization Plan. The overall project is designed to bring aid, education, housing and job development to an area that was in serious need of outside assistance. River of Hope, Inc. recently adopted the Proverbs 3 Indian Orphanage as its model for the Duroville rehabilitation.
PurposeTo visit with HOPE the fatherless, widows and less fortunate in their affliction.
To provide sustainable / green built housing opportunities for those persons who need assistance with their housing needs. To provide food, clothing, medical and dental care to persons who cannot afford to provide their own care. To provide instruction, mentoring and employment opportunity services to persons needing job training and workforce development. To provide instruction in life skills training and personal financial management skills. To find unmet community needs and fill them with HOPE. Vision1. Stabilize and clean up two local environmental problem projects with creative, innovative and cost effective action planning.
2. Provide local Indians the opportunity to live in safe, decent and affordable housing. 3. To create work opportunity in green construction, heavy equipment operation, farming, solar & wind. MissionTo visit the widows, fatherless and less fortunate in their afflictions.
18 Month GoalsPhase I: Survey, Topo & Land Planning, Continue soil stabilization, site prep & fund raising, Commission working drawings, Install crushing operation. Complete Proverbs 3 Indian Orphanage and Microfarm.
Phase II: Build 21 new homes, Build Transitional Housing Building & Build Workforce Development building, Takeover Park Operations, Farm COOP |
